A decade of dumpsters, junk, and a whole lot of stairs.
U.S. Carting started in 2014 with one truck, one phone line, and one rule: show up when you say you will. Ten years in, we still answer the phone live and we still sweep the driveway before we leave.
Greenwich-based. Family-owned. Built on repeat customers.
U.S. Carting was founded in 2014 to bring honest, professional hauling service to Fairfield County. We started with one roll-off truck and a simple operating principle: be the company you'd want to hire yourself.
Today we run roll-offs and a full-service junk-removal crew out of Greenwich, CT — covering all of Fairfield and Westchester counties, plus most of New Haven, Hartford, Middlesex, Litchfield, and New London counties in Connecticut. Same family. Same phone number. Same rule.
Half our work is repeat — contractors who call us week after week, property managers who keep our COI on file, homeowners who used us once and now use us every time. That's the metric we care about.
What we stand for
- Show up when we say.Two-hour delivery and pickup windows. The driver calls 15–30 minutes ahead.
- Recycle and donate first.Furniture goes to charity when it can. Metals and e-waste hit a recycler. Then the rest goes to the transfer station.
- One crew, every job.Our drivers and loaders are full-time, trained, and respect your property — and your neighbors'.
- All-in pricing. You get the number before we start. No weight fees. No fuel surcharges. No "we ran into something" calls.
The rules of the road.
We answer the phone.
Live, during business hours, by a person. No phone tree. No callback queue.
We sweep up.
Broom-sweep finish on every clean-out. Boards under the can if you ask. Your property is cleaner when we leave than when we arrived.
We protect your driveway.
Wood under the rollers on asphalt. We know how to spot a soft driveway before we drop two tons on it.
We bill straight.
No surprise weight charges. If you go over the included allowance, you'll see the ticket and the math. Net-30 available for established contractors and PMs.
We do the stairs.
Basement, third floor, attic — we bring the dollies and the muscle. You don't carry anything.
We say no when we should.
Some loads are too heavy for the chosen can. Some items we can't take (paint, propane, asbestos). We tell you upfront, not after.
About the Owner
U.S. Carting has been part of the Greenwich landscape since 2014, but the team behind it changed hands in 2023.
Justin Hubbard acquired U.S. Carting from founder Pawel Urbanik that year. The conversation started because Pawel was stepping back from day-to-day operations and wanted to make sure his customer base — the contractors, property managers, and homeowners he'd built relationships with over nearly a decade — landed somewhere that would treat them the same way.
Pawel approached Justin specifically because of Grizzly Junk Pros, the junk removal company Justin had built up in Connecticut with a five-star reputation and a track record of showing up when crews said they would. After a string of conversations and a clean look at how Justin ran his operation, Pawel sold U.S. Carting to him and the transition closed in 2023.
Under Justin's ownership, U.S. Carting carries the same operational standard he built into Grizzly — real people answering the phone, transparent pricing on the website, same-day service when the call comes in early, and a focus on doing the job right the first time. U.S. Carting's depot is in Greenwich at 37 S Water Street, with service running across Fairfield County and into Westchester County in New York.
Ownership
U.S. Carting and Grizzly Junk Pros share common ownership under Justin Hubbard. The two brands serve different markets — U.S. Carting is dedicated to Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY, while Grizzly serves junk removal customers in other markets.
